he tactile nature of this artist's work eludes the traditional stark presentation for art. Growth-and-Abundance as well as Death-and-Decay are the subjects of her work. Faune tells their story through a textured archiving of the natural world around us. Each piece is not only about, but in fact drips with, the effluvia that makes up life. She forces nature to take a hand in the making of its own portrait: sun-prints, rotted paper, beewax glazes. Faune then weaves these together with an innocent handi-craft from another era. She is the curious 19th-century collector gathering interesting specimens from her garden, capturing botany in needle-point and cottage craft.

This preview-site is a small tease of some of Faune's fine art pieces. Like the mini-CD we also created for Faune, the presentation allows nature to set the stage for her work. Detail pop-ups use Flash to zoom into images and to click-and-drag to explore.
