eedyPumpkins is mindful that design is a tool that serves our Clients'
objectives and the finest design is that which makes a piece visually attractive
yet absolutely representative of the organization behind it, easy to navigate,
and seamless in presentation.
We specialize in being attentive to detail, in understanding our Client's needs
and in implementing luscious design that enforces our Client's brand position in
a thoughtful and engaging way. SeedyPumpkins has created for its clientele:
print campaigns (catalogues, company brochures, stationery); websites
(promotional microsites, full sites, banners etc.); and interactive CD-ROMs
(including video and printable documents).
In addition to these more traditional marketing solutions the studio has also
created pieces that push the edge of the technology they employ: animated
projections to provide atmospheric effect at fashion events (blending still
photographs to create a filmic dynamism); animated teasers for books that had
yet to be published (a digital facsimile unfolds its contents); interactive
training videos for the pharmaceutical industry (a video "wrapped" in
instructive Flash graphics). The results are elegant alternatives to
presentations usually done with such limited programs as PowerPoint or Word;
SeedyPumpkins employs more effective solutions that will make an impression on
their audience.

We have a thoughtful approach to website design that considers at the
fore-front the needs of our Client and our process for a project has been
designed to maintain our Client's vision during the project's implementation. We
create a structure for communication between the Client and the SeedyPumpkins
development team to ensure that we have implemented the best solution possible.
Our process begins with a comprehensive Discovery Phase where the Clients' needs
are determined and analyzed. Then our SeedyPumpkins development team can begin
the Design and Development Phases with a clear vision of the Client's intent. We
re-affirm that intent at checkpoints during the project's actual production;
each phase within the development process culminates in pre-scheduled meetings
where the project "Delieverables" are presented for discussion and specific
feedback. These points of contact facilitate an efficient dialog with the
Client, moving the project unhindered from Discovery and Concept Phases to
Launch.

After graduating with a degree in Fine Arts from The Cooper Union in New York
City, Kristina entered the publishing world through the arena of illustrated
books at Rizzoli Publishing. There she cultivated her firm belief in "process"
as the only way to navigate the demands of the trade. At Rizzoli she polished
her design skills and also implemented information management systems integral
to book publishing.
The expanding dot.com scene found Kristina first at the mid-sized interactive
company IF! and then at the much smaller new-media production shop Kinetiscope
where she was the sole in-house Art Director/Designer. Cast in multiple roles of
Producer and Account Manager as well as Art Director and lead Designer on the
same project - she excelled in balancing project management and production
simultaneously. Her love of Macromedia's Flash as a web-development tool, which
had begun at IF!, ripened at Kinetiscope as the technology advanced and she was
able to explore creative solutions for websites using the software.
Kristina founded SeedyPumpkins as a way to reconnect with the talented
individuals she had been fortunate enough to meet during the course of her
career. These colleagues had like-minded ideas about the direction of the web
and what their goals were for the future.

As a well-regarded Art Director & Designer, Millie began her career in the
classic arena of print design. Her early years landed her in the publishing
industry where she fell in love with the art of designing for books and where
her keen ability to decipher information design solutions is rooted. It is
through this experience that Millie honed the skill of thinking "globally" -
resulting in design solutions that are both efficiently functional and
attractive.
After several years in the print world, Millie moved on to the exploding
multimedia scene, joining IF! Interactive as a New Media Designer. In a few
months, she worked her way up to the position of Art Director where her knack
for managing a project and developing solid design were readily apparent. Millie
joined the team at Iguana Studios in 2000 as an Art Director where she
collaborated on several high profile projects including Lehman Brothers, m.a.
Partners and Baruch College (interactive orientation CD-ROM).
While Millie brings extensive creative and project management capabilities to
the SeedyPumpkins team, her experience has not been limited to print and
interactive design. In 1994, she joined the group of professionals at Parsons
School of Design that staffed the Digital Design Department when it was in its
infancy. She continued to help others along as a member of the Parsons Digital
Faculty for 4 years.

Sandra brings to SeedyPumpkins the unusual benefit of her university experience
in Boston, MA, as student and then teacher and college lecturer in the fields of
literature, information management, and public communication.
Sandy moved to New York City in 1980, where she began her career in book selling
and book publishing, specifically producing print promotions including catalogs,
posters, retail pop, direct-mailers and advertising. From Oxford University
Press, to Basil Blackwell Publishers, she advanced to Manager of Design and
Production for the Milan-based Rizzoli Bookstores and International
Publications.
Beginning her transition into new media in 1997, Sandy developed a digital
workflow (data and image transfer protocol) that positioned Rizzoli to provide
content to on-line booksellers and eventually their own website. She left the
company's staff with design concepts and site structure for that site. Since
2000 she has designed and produced for her own client list including Rizzoli as
well as Archivia the Decorative Arts Bookstore, Hudson River Towns tourism,
Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, Kodansha Publishing, community cultural
arts foundations and county political campaigns. SeedyPumpkins offered her the
perfect opportunity - association with other professionals who, together, could
offer a broad range of services.

While Seedy Pumpkins was still in its early years, Jan was busy researching
fonts and experimenting with pixels and paints like any dedicated design student
should. At North Carolina State University's College of Design she
secured a personal relationship with tightly organized information and a fondness
for refined visuals.
Her go-get-em sensibilities led to the establishment of the Fish Market, a
gallery in Raleigh, NC, where she served as the inaugural Gallery Director.
With the gallery taking root and degrees in Graphic Design and Art & Design under
her belt, Jan packed her bags for the big city and headed to New York.
Brief stints in print production and a few freelance illustration gigs helped to
keep her eye for effective design alive while she worked as a artist's assistant
and an au pair. Jan continues to develop her love and control of design in both
creative and managerial capacities at Seedy Pumpkins.
